Real change in the UK ?

(Click image to enlarge, and browser Back button to return)

Can two public schoolboys really have any insight into the lives of the least well-off in society ? Recent reports tell us there has been no narrowing in the wealth gap in the last forty years !!!

I would also like to mention that under a genuinely fair PR voting system the Tories would not be leading the country ! It would be a centre-Left coalition - on votes cast - not the fiddle of MP numbers.

*I forgot to say yesterday that London is also run by a product of the 'public' school system......is this really the 21st century ?!

I look forward to seeing a female, Asian ex-hospital cleaner as Prime Minister ! Then I'll consider voting......

I feel sick to the core ...... and many Lib Dem supporters are clearly furious if the buzz on Twitter and Facebook is anything to go by.

I can't see this coalition lasting........

I know some commentators have even called it a 'gay marriage', but we should give the chaps a chance.

Why do you say 'Centre-Left'?

Assuming the Lib-Dems are the centre you could claim 'Centre-Right' The Tories got more votes than Labour; especially in England.

I think a Labour and Lib-Dem pact would have been suicide - especially for the Lib-Dems - given the spread of votes across the UK and the fact that they would have been beholden to the SNP and the like.

I think there is an opportunity here.

I'm a Tory, in the main, and see this as a test for both parties.

For the Tories it will be a test in co-operation.

For the Lib-Dems it will be a test for consisitency.

As a very strong 'local party' they have tended to say one thing in one constituency and another in a different one. They've palyed a very different kind of politics partly through being ipermananet opposition.

National politics will make or break them.

I suspect, after a while, that they will be seen in much the same light as the Tories and Labour.

I think we should give them a chance.

I think there is a much stronger natural affinity between Labour and Lib Dems, and under a genuine PR system where votes actually count the make-up of this Government would be much more Left leaning.

I'm all in favour of giving them a chance though !
