The great drought continues, if we discount the brief shower on Royal Wedding day. Stunning blue skies on the Yorkshire coast yesterday, but the sea was rather wild due to strong winds all the way from Russia - according to our local TV celebrity weatherman.
We had travelled the back roads of the Yorkshire Wolds in search of wonderful hedge blossom, following a recommendation from famous artist, and Bridlington resident, David Hockney. Seems we'll have to wait a few more weeks for the 'high' Wolds to catch up with the flat Vale of York in terms of flowery plant growth.
So it was into Bridlington itself for fish and chips, and the birds.........
Blue skies, wild seas at Bridlington yesterday
The birds are always after fish and chips
Should our children be treated like this in the 21st century ?!
